Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me.
My name is Skip Tucker, and I have more than 20 years of experience owning and operating a full-service construction company. Throughout my career, I have been involved in virtually every phase of residential construction, from excavating footings and framing structures to installing roofing, finishing drywall, and helping homeowners select the perfect finishing touches for their homes.

This hands-on experience has given me a thorough understanding of how homes are built and how their systems work together. As a home inspector, I use that knowledge to provide detailed, comprehensive inspections that help my clients better understand the condition of their property.

I am committed to continuing my education and regularly attend training courses to stay current with evolving building practices, construction techniques, and industry standards. By staying informed about new products and methods, I can provide the highest level of service and deliver accurate, reliable inspections you can trust.

I take the time to perform a thorough inspection of all readily accessible areas and components of the home. A typical inspection takes approximately four hours to complete, although larger, older, or more complex homes may require additional time to ensure a comprehensive evaluation.

I do not provide reports onsite. After the inspection is completed, I carefully review my findings and prepare a detailed report that includes descriptions of any deficiencies or concerns, along with photographs to help illustrate the issues identified. My goal is to provide you with as much information as possible so you can make a confident and informed decision regarding the property.

It is important to understand that all home inspections have limitations. Components that are concealed behind walls, ceilings, floors, insulation, or other finishes cannot be visually inspected. Likewise, any area or system that is inaccessible at the time of the inspection cannot be evaluated. A home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the home's readily visible and readily accessible systems and components as they exist on the day of the inspection.

Every home inspector in North Carolina must be licensed and insured. I carry General Liability and Errors and Omissions insurance. All inspections must follow the standards of practice and code of ethics set by the NC Home Inspector Licensing Board.
